PlatinumPLUS provides a 24/7 confidential Nurse Hotline (available in most states). Employees have toll-free access to experienced nurses, around the clock, 365 days per year. These registered nurses provide an immediate and reliable source for health information and confidential medical counseling to help employees make informed decisions about medical care, including answering questions about: (a) a recently diagnosed medical condition; (b) diagnostic and surgical procedures and what to expect during a medical test; (c) prescription and over-the-counter medication; and, (d) self-care techniques for common symptoms. The service also provides access to an audio library covering more than 450 health related topics.

To help in preventing a small problem becoming a larger one, the employee can call (866) 273-8850 to speak to a nurse: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the employee has an emergency, however, the employee should immediately call 911 or, if not critical, go directly to the emergency facility.
